There's a new highest-capacity 14500 battery, but it falls a bit short of advertised.

I put it in an Acebeam Pokelit Ti and tested runtime on high. There was a considerable improvement: 190 minutes instead of 166.

Vapcell always seems a bit scammy to me, vs just buying Samsung/Panasonic/Molicel.

@MangoPenguin @flashlight None of those offer a product that competes with this.

Are those still standard lithium-ion? I wonder if silicone-carbon batteries will make it to these types of battery cells (and 18650, and 21700... ). They're already being used in smartphones to give them greater capacity in the same (or smaller) form factor: https://www.tomsguide.com/news/forget-lithium-ion-worlds-first-silicon-carbon-battery-blows-that-tech-away

That seems to be a Li-ion battery with silicon added to the anode. My guess is this is not that, just incremental improvement; until recently, 14500 fell far short of the energy density of 18650. Now it's near parity, keeping in mind a smaller volume inherently means more weight in the metal housing.

Those look to be Li-ion with a slight material change. They don't mention Wh/Kg so there's no way to know if it's actually better than the 21700 cells that are available.
