Better than the alternative of simply not eating anything.

Some nutrition is better than no nutrition.

U might want to change that pepsi for some bananas or baked stuff. Like, fruit cake is excellent. And cheap at the local market. :)

Recommendations?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Felt prompted to share my lunch. Feeling healthy (yes one of the pills is MP as well).

The capsule is the MP, the lengthy one is escitalopram (an SSRI antidepressant), the round ones are thyrostatics, for my autoimmune hyperthyroidism.

Does this combination work for you? Have you tried an SNRI like venlafaxin?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

It works really well for me! Since I've been on both, my mood has been ok almost every day, for the first time since puberty (10-15 years ago). Psych said that's a known effect of this exact combo.

Enjoy your diarrhea and (assuming you have male genitalia) your hiding dick.

Also: Vanille schmeckt mir am besten.

My brain broke deciding whether it was the English or German word 'also'

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

This is so disgusting!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Zero Zucker

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

I wouldn't call that a good foundation for a diet.

yFood kinda sucks taste-wise IMO and I think meal replacement shakes from a sports nutrition company offer a better bang for the buck. (Plus the whole thing where Nestlé owns a share of the company these days.)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

A diet of soda pop and ritalin, eh?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I actually find it hard to believe someone can literally survive with something like that for more than a few months.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago (4 children)

This is more healthy than the average diet.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

I mentioned Soylent a while back and someone commented that it was slop. I guess people just aren't into that.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

genuinely, toss in some starchy bread and maybe fruit in there, please. your gut will thank you.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

It's already supposed to be a balanced diet with fiber and protein, wouldn't bread throw off the balance?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Sure is. Why do you think not?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I would recemmend reading the book "ultra processed people" to understand why I strongly disagree

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Do you think a burger with fries and a sugary soda would be better?

Actual fresh vegetables, eggs, and brown rice would be healthier of course.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

At least Frank Thelen wouldnt get your money then

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

A burger with fries and coke is not "average diet", not even in the US, lots of research on that

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yea comparing a meal that was designed to be fast and nutritious to a meal that's designed purely on how much money it makes with the most addictive and tasty ingredients isn't very equal XD

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I genuinely have no idea which is which in your post. Any mass produced processed food is made to be addicting first and foremost.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't know that brand of meal replacement but i'd be surprised if it was anywehere near addictive and delicious XD

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"fast and nutritious" definitely sounds like the 2 things our brains are looking for in a food source. Mixed with a pepsi i would say you might as well just have boxed pancakes and syrup

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

"Sounds" doesn't make it real. There are components in foods that are proven to have addictive properties like sugar, fat or salt where the foods can be void of nutrients but contain lots of them and the brain will crave that food again. Dairy also is designed in nature to get babies addicted to it so that they crave it and want to eat more and have plenty of nutrients to grow and have better babies survival rate wich is great.

I'm in this picture and I don't like it

[–] [email protected] 31 points 2 days ago (1 children)

ah yes breakfast of champions

  • methylphenidate
  • liquid for swallowing methylphenidate
  • something vaguely resembling nutrients so that I'm not taking methylphenidate on an empty stomach
[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 days ago (1 children)

As NT-master race, had to look it up:

methylphenidate = Ritalin

[–] [email protected] 19 points 2 days ago (4 children)

look at this fancy pants able to open their browser and look something up without immediately getting distracted by the 6 tabs they had open earlier!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hahaha yeah it's definitely just 6

(I just checked, it's 19 on my phone, 21 on my laptop and 12 on my work PC)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

6 is about my limit before the Au* part of my AuDHD kicks in and I exasperatedly shove them all into the bookmarks folder

we don't talk about the bookmarks folder

*suspected, full disclaimer (my evaluator said my insurance would only pay for one diagnosis lol)

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Do people... go back to the tabs they leave open?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago

only if there's something more important I'm supposed to be doing lol

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

able to open their browser and look something up without immediately getting distracted by the 6 tabs

That's the methylphenidate talking.
