Does it have to be a sequel to Isolation?
Can it not just be another self-contained story in the universe?
I love the game, but it doesn't really need a true sequel.

Honestly, I'd love to see games set in the Alien universe that have absolutely nothing to do with the aliens. The whole design concept for the original movie was "truckers in space". So where's my space trucking game?
We have a space trucking movie that stars Dennis Hopper. A game based on that would be cool. It's on Amazon right now: https://watch.amazon.com/detail?gti=amzn1.dv.gti.6ebbc276-82e4-3c31-6487-f22fecbae183&ref_=atv_dp_share_mv&r=web
Will they follow the logic of the movies and make the second one an action game?
I never finished it because the alien would teleport too much. I need to install the larger leash mod and give it another go. It's also sooo long for such a tense game. I loved everything about it and I'm upset I haven't finished it lol.
Anyone else get motion sickness playing this? Not sure why. It's the only game that gives me motion sickness, not even playing it on the VR .
Turn off the blur and film grain filters it will resolve your issues.
Bought this on my iPad Pro and it runs so beautifully. Now wherever I am I can put headphones on and be scared shitless.
I'll never forget hiding under a table in the corridor with the Alien walking around me in circles. He knew I was there but seemingly couldn't figure out how to get me. I thought I was safe but maybe I moved a few pixels in the wrong direction as after a long wait, it grabbed me and gave me the deadly kiss.
On my 4th playthrough right now actually. Can't wait for this sequel!
Isolation lasted 30 hours too long, I won't hold my breath
Neat. I wasn't able to get into Isolation, it just takes a long time to get going and I don't click super hard with what you do moment to moment, but it looks super cool and a lot of people really liked it, so I'm glad they're getting another shot at it. I'd check it out.
i miss the original AvP from fox-- it's dated to the point of unplayable, but still the one i enjoyed the most
isolation is a quality game and i wish i liked stealth games, but they're just unreasonably boring to me
Alien Isolation was very close to being the perfect Horror game for me and a true love letter to the first movie. Can't wait for the sequel.
I think that game is the third best Alien movie lol
I had this on my “to play” list for years and finally did a full play through as the first game on my new OLED monitor. It holds up incredibly well so many years later. The AI, sound design, and lighting really carry the game, and when I went back to watch Alien I realized how true to the source material it was. 9/10 game for me, had my heart racing numerous times but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I could only do an hour or two a day but wow, very glad I pushed myself to finish it. Probably the most fun I’ve had with a game’s AI since STALKER’s A-Life or FEAR’s AI.
I loved that they also kept the whole cassette futurism aesthetic, unlike the newer movies of the franchise. The one thing I would wish for is that the horror segments are a bit less repetitive / samey.
I thought the new one, Romulus, did a pretty good job of keeping the retro look going. I actually didn't like the movie itself very much, but props & costumes did a good job lol.
Nice! Recently started playing the first one again.
Hope they manage to include a proper VR mode this time. The Mother VR mod is great but unfortunately it cannot work on Linux.
