It's crazy how... like. Normal? This debate is. I mean they obviously disagree on stuff, but there's at least a baseline of respect here so far.
Agreed
Its like Trump is the problem lol.
Oh definitely, I just kind of forgot how debates can be when his dumbass isn't in the room.
“Shortage” more like venture capitalism and artificially limiting supply.
Okay, guys. I get it. You're both way into Jesus.
But did you know that JD Vance's family was working class and his mom was an impoverished, absentee, addict? He's only said it like 30 times so it's pretty easy to miss
That was a really good answer from Walz, actually.
Fuck that "I've become friends with school shooters" misspeak is gonna be clipped to hell isn't it
you bet ur ass it'll make it into trump vance campaign ads.
Yep lol.
“NRA used to teach gun safety” is a great line for purple states.
It's very true. Now it's their other branch, the ILA, I believe it is, which is their legal lobbying branch, that is the core of the organization.
Walz is friends with school shooters? Lol whoops
Did he really just say that? That's not going to wash out well if so.
Oh God, I was hoping I had just misheard him...
Words are hard! Yeah I caught that one too, whooops. He knew he said it and talked faster afterwards to try to move past it.
Pretty big fuckup 🤦
That's going on MAGA TikTok
Walz is knocking it out of the park on guns.
No kids here, but I have many nieces and nephews, and it makes me so depressed to think of a school run like a police state.
It doesn’t help that new schools are built like prisons with small windows that don’t open. Meanwhile in Texas, the kids who survived their school shooting climbed out of the windows because the school was of the late 60s/early 70s design. And in Europe they were able to cut down on Covid infections at school by… opening the windows and letting in fresh air throughout the day.
I have two kids. It's very depressing.
Guns are flowing into the United States from Mexico?
Wat??!
Honestly, ‘look over there!’ is basically their whole platform.
As I recall it's actually the opposite. But then they do sometimes find their way back up.
Stronger locks!!
Good lord, what a moron.
Moderator: "How do you stop gun violence?"
Vance: "Stronger windows in schools!"
"Guns don't kill people, weak windows kill people...or...something."
Guns go from the US to Mexico, not the other way. Another blatant lie.
Vance:
I want the entire Minnesota law dealing with abortion spoken verbatim, sir or my lies and misinterpreting said law will be true!
Vance: "The white guys shooting up schools with legally purchased guns are the fault of immigrants."
I'm sorry, but I've got to go against the grain and say I don't think Walz is doing that well at all when it matters. He got caught in a huge lie and is becoming noticeably flustered. He's coming off as someone lacking experience at a national level and couldn't even clarify how his own law was written.
He’s actually not doing great. He should be wiping the floor with Vance. It’s a bit disappointing, yeah.
Vance has stepped in it a few times, and Walz hasn’t grabbed the moment. I agree.
Same. I was really expecting more. He's getting some points, but he should be stronger.
I think he might just not be as good of a speaker as Vance, unfortunately.
Yeah, I disagree.
I don’t know the details, but I’ll talk about identity politics instead of addressing the number 1 problem right now.
e: and loop back to the border!!
