"FUCK!"
Was that an "ah fuck" or an "oh fuck?" π€
Ah, the many sounds of dispair.
Someone didnβt do their statics homework
Hey, that disaster you ordered arrived!
That was one of the heartier "FUCK"s I've heard in awhile
Tandem fork-lifting should be an Olympic sport.
I would have lifted up, then pulled the train out, then lowered and pulled manageable quantities.
Also, at the very least, should've had forklifts on opposite sides
Actually, everything should be done by crane, but I guess management told them to use the forklifts cuz getting and assembling one on site costs a lot.
Does a crane cost more or less than this fuck up?
No, but tell that to Bob from management, who is not an engineer.
I've been in situations like that. You just don't do it. Also, explain why in written form and have that stamped and submitted.
Is the camera man an NPC? Iβm not gonna just stand two feet away as soon as hundreds of tons of steel starts shifting weightβ¦
It was fairly obvious in which direction they're going to fall.
You think that until some piece of metal that was under tension springs out and flies into your face.
You ever see that one scene from Ghost Ship?
Is that the one where a cable snapped and everyone on the deck was cut in half? I donβt know what but I remember finding that extremely funny and laughing when it happened. Got some mean looks in the theater

Oh thank fuck I wasn't the only one. The faces and cgi blending in the scene were just hilarious.
Was it as good as the German forklift safety video?
Well said; exactly my thoughts
Steelβs unloaded, boss!
Can I go home now?
I think my favorite part is how calm forklift driver remains even at 45Β°
This is a situation where shock is actually a helpful response
When I was trained on a forklift the direction was to stay inside the cab and keep all extremities inside too when everything goes sideways.
This knowledge probably costs an arm and a leg.
I've had some sketchy shit happen before, I like the tuck and pray. Cover your head and neck and try to keep your arms and legs inside.
If the load is out of control, the safest place to be is in the cab.
No point in panic if you can't do anything about the situation.
Forklifts were doing better than I thought, until it tipped over.
50 ton loading capacity Γ 3 + 100 ton steel = a 400 ton problem
Taking the "one trip from the car to inside" mentality quite a bit too far.
I read the book, to figure out the hype since it kept getting brought up. I would recommend it to anyone. Audio works, in fact, the context of the book is that the protagonist is recording her story over old music cassette tapes. Itβs captivating in the same way a slow motion crash and burn sequence is captivating.
.
I tried the series. Iβve done episode one. I cannot imagine enduring a stretched out version for multiple seasons. Thereβs nothing wrong with the production or acting. Itβs solid, and draws me in with the same ethos as the book. I just donβt think I can do it a second time and in more detail across multiple seasons. If it was 1 season, maybe.
Wrong tab, I'm guessing.
Wrong tab. And half asleep posting after falling into bed after work. Deleted.
This sounds like you're describing "The Handmaid's Tale", which is not what this thread is about.
Wrong post??
Im kinda curious where you were trying to post this lol. What book?
There's a book?
It's more of a graphic novel actually.
Id love to read it!
I'm gonna wait for the movie
