I like boobs so I support this.

Does going bra-less need campaigning? Is this controversial? Are people giving women attitude for this?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Depends if it is noticeable or not

I only wear bras when I'm going horseback riding or into the office for work. I have free tiddies any other time cause it's comfier. There are a lot of people, usually gen X and boomers, who think women need to wear a bra all the time and not have the straps showing ever.

Probably Americans upset about see-through nippels.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I'm so anxious about mine being visible, I cannot imagine the sheer confidence in someone who would pierce them >~<

no shame tho, all power to y'all. just not my jam

Nipples can stand out a bit, but my man nipples also aggressively point through my shirt at anyone I'm talking to.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Males nipples are, for reasons I don't understand, totally fine.

Although I was lightly bullied for my perky pokies as a young man, making me self-conscious about them at a level I have a hard time suppressing or ignoring.

It's sexism and patriarchy. Because they aren't thought of as being for milk, and straight men aren't usually attracted to them (and thus can control themselves (to be clear we're being sarcastic here, men should not ban our boobs for their sexual attraction and they should be able to control themselves by not seeing us as objects)) then it's fine.

But really breasts and the nipples on them aren't inherently sexual and it's tiring men think/act as if they are.

Inherently, no, but they are secondary sexual characteristics that our species has selected for long enough that the lizard brain instincts find them sexually appealing.

The problem isn’t that men think they’re sexual or find them a turn on. The problem is men not knowing how to control themselves.

Right because they don't get taught that's a thing they have to or should do. Because so much of the media and societal values/views teaches them that we're objects for their consumption, nothing more.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's a tough one. The drive to mate is very strong. It was critical to the sucsess of the species. Controlling thoughts in that direction is near impossible. So how do you balance that in environments where focus is important. I honestly don't have any idea for that.

If you are only talking about controllin actions, then I am on board with you. Though men are taught to do that to some extent. They generally don't just grab women by the hair and drag them to thier man cave to rape them. Well generally. It's just they aren't taught that the line should be way back around the point ofvnot expressing any of thier thoughts without consent. Which you correctly point out is tough when media constantly shows them that the agressive male gets laid.

We very much disagree with what you're saying here in a multitude of ways.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

There are places it can cost you your job, get you harassment my strangers or colleagues or just funny looks and shaming.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Also, bra can help with large breasts... My wife swears by her expensive bra we got her several years ago. It makes her breasts look very nice but also apparently helps with carrying them. Women should be the ones deciding what's right for them.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

this is a good example of how much a bra keeps them in place, just dialed up 10x from me lol

also this lady got jokes, she fit a whole damn wine bottle in there!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

I recently started wearing a back brace to work. I think I might finally understand what taking a bra off is like.

[–] [email protected] 42 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'm not against the message but this is a uniqlo ad/partnership, just saying.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 2 days ago

And she appears to be wearing a bra.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (3 children)

Then why's she wearing one??

I get it, you can speak against a thing etc, its just a little funny

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Then why's she wearing one??

I hate being the 'well, akshually 🤓' guy, but what I think is going on is she's wearing a 'bra top' with built-in cups which makes it look like she's wearing a bra.

This would also explain the prominence of Uniqlo in the picture, because they sell that particular top (with the built-in cups).

...astroturfing; good catch...

It is either AI or photoshopped, or both. Just look at those lovecraftian hands.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

I don’t think this is AI. The hands look fine to me, and all the other little details look right.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 days ago (1 children)

She’s manifesting against self care, obviously.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Yeah she's on LinkedIn the rest of her day talking about how if you use your vacation days you're ungrateful to have a job
