NSFW heads up: one of her runway photos has a fully exposed breast.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah, we Americans are prudes.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

We definitely are prudes, but are websites with exposed breasts safe for work elsewhere?

When it's obvious that this is a photo from fashion week or something and not porn, I don't think anyone would bat an eye in Europe. I personally have never worked somewhere, where I would be worried about a photo like that coming up on my screen.

I don't know about the US, but in Europe context matters.

How to sink your parent's political career by seeming out of touch and elitist in five easy steps.

She's 25 though so, outside of clearly having too much money, she's doing her own thing and that shouldn't reflect on Kamala's campaign... conservative media will probably plaster it everywhere though.

Guessing you've never heard of cottagecore, which has been a thing for a few years if I'm not mistaken.

Internet is a big place.

I haven't no! I'm not particularly fashion minded. I mostly just sew my own skirts and make do.

It's like an instagram/tumblr/pinterest type trend if I'm not mistaken, mainly focused around homemaker type stuff. Pretty sure knitting is a big part of it. There's all sorts of whatever-cores now.

I've been rather taken by bardcore cover songs personally.

There is a reason why it is being hyper analyzed and reported on in a way that Tiffany or Barron or whatever never were

Expect to hear it start to get reported on from time to time as if it mattered, even by “respected” political outlets, because that’s how the conservative machine works

Also check which account is posting this story; this is one little plausibly-deniable “oh I just thought it was newsworthy” raindrop in what will presumably become a new Kamala-oriented steady rain

Mozz, not everything is a conspiracy theory hun.

If there's anyone that can pull Harris further left it's her stepdaughter. She's been raising money for Gaza and joining in Pro-Palestinian protests.

Stepdaughter, Gaza, prosecutor

Stepdaughter, Gaza, prosecutor

I didn’t say the choice of topics was a conspiracy. I said it seems designed to hurt Harris’s chances in the election, to whatever extent can be achieved, under a transparent fig leaf of “pulling left” which doesn’t match the behavior.

That can be accomplished by either a private citizen or a conspiracy, and in this case I have no way to know (and am not really weighing in on which I think it is).

“Pulling the Democrats to the left” would be achieved by supporting lefty causes, attacking the most conservative wing of the Democrats, and being honest in criticism for their corporate friendly / conservative behavior. Whenever you start doing that let me know and I will reassess what I think I you are doing.

I'm neutral on the poster - I understand they get a lot of hate for posting biased articles but they stay to major publications...

I'm more concerned that this story is being run on the daily beast - I don't know if they think they're helping attract young voters but most folks, especially young folks, are more concerned with the actual policies (especially w.r.t. Gaza for Gen Z)
