~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Even the last season of Picard seemed to forget that Geordi was the pilot in season 1.
There's this whole sideplot with family strife because one of his daughters decided to be like their dad and become an engineer, while the other one rebelled against him and wanted to pilot ships. I thought they'd eventually point out that they're both following in his footsteps, but they never did.
I'm always surprised any of the NG actors agreed to be on that show.
When sailing, Pilot gives the orders.
When on land, Captain gives the orders.
I bet Data listens to EDM.

Surely I canβt be the first person to point out that Data is not the βdriverβ in the sense that he is not at the helm, right? Right???
Data is at Ops - the closest thing the TNG show had to a science station - because he was the Spock-analog.
Basically what Iβm saying is that Geordi/Wesley/Ro/unnamed officer (depending on the season/episode) gets to pick the music, not Data!
And the reason why he isn't actually at the science station is that Brent Spiner didn't look good in blue.
Thatβs right! And they didnβt like the way Picard and Riker looked in gold, hence the move to red for the command division and engineering/security to gold.
And thatβs the way it should be! Come at me, TOS fans! π€£π
