Who else watched this and thought of the jailbreak scene at the beginning of The Goonies?

no idea what models of truck these were if the drivers were good at drag racing
What? This is extremely poor phrasing if you ask me.
To be fair to the Cybertruck, we’ve got no idea what models of truck these were, if the drivers were good at drag racing and driving on sand, or even how long the race was.
Honestly, the sentence just needs some punctuation and it's fine.
I hate the Cybertruck as much as the next guy, but this could really boil down to just tire choice and nothing more.
Good point. As I understand it, the Cybertruck's stock tires are not, in fact, a good tire choice.

Cyber truck stock anything isn't a good choice.
It’s more pedestrian safe than the other one in the video
So the Cybertruck is not that fast and the CEO of the company that makes it is a jamoke, big deal. At least it looks stupid.
I do appreciate the fact that the Cybertruck was so clearly designed by someone who had no idea how to design a car, and that it's Musk's pet project. It really drives another nail in the coffin of the idea that he deserves all the credit for the work his companies do.
Then again, his most die-hard supporters draw no distinction between ownership and labor. They're also somehow able to look at a Cybertruck and think "Wow!" rather than "Wow, is this some kind of a joke?"
Man, that last part...
I honestly think owners of these things are just edgelords. It's #notliketheothergirls for desperate, middle-aged men.
I used to kinda like it because it was wrong and dumb, but I'd only ever get a horribly ugly statement car if it combined terrible aesthetics with good performance and build quality.
The point is to save car dependency, not the planet.
I mean I'm more of a car guy so trucks and off roading aren't my specialty but a vehicle built by a company that's done it for a century vs a pissboy.
Shocker...
