Have they tried actually doing anything about it?

The extent of cycle infrastructure in this country is limited exclusively to painting a white line on the side of an already existing road. Whenever it gets complicated just give up and start again on the other side of the junction, hopefully the cyclists figure it out for themselves. And of course everyone knows that potholes only improve the cycling experience so no need to worry about them.

Or the opposite! They put bike lanes in that just exist to avoid roundabouts..... That lose you the right of way!

Useless things. Some are just long enough to give you hope before they spit you back onto the road with no warning.

They didn’t need to commission a report to find that out - they could just have asked me. And i can’t even ride a bike.

While successive governments chase the motorist vote and the media brand any efforts to mitigate the problems they cause as a "war on motorists" it's going to stay shit.

This country needs fucking land reforms. Gigantic ones.

Land inherited from William the Conqueror's mates, absolutely not. Low density housing on hugely expensive land, no. Land Value tax the cunts. Any new railway station or any old railways station only high density housing/offices/ commercial can be built.

Government need massive buying to lay new railways and for above projects if LVT doesn't work. Don't like it? Get fucked.

Two way roads in city centre and no cycle paths fuck it. Close them make it all one way infrastructure and put cycling in. Every city, town center, railways station and bus station has to have secure bike parking. We need some more undergrounds outside London (need above density). Railways that don't go to London need to be built, again density is needed.

None of this will happen. We need voting reform first.

But I swear to God, if I had to bet on it I'm betting on artificial super intelligence controlling the country as the most likely way that any decent land reform gets done.

This country sucks and it's because of the cunts in it that only care about themselves.

You want to know the absolute stupidest thing. The main train station in my area is being redeveloped, which is great, but the problem is it's taking forever and in meantime there are no services to the station at all.

So they have taken a functioning station, and under the guise of upgrading it, have shut it down. The only train service available now is the Grand Central to London, and that's because they route it through a village station as its primary station, because that makes sense.
