Tbh, politicians like this are a liability for national security. Why do so many in policing circles (fbi etc.) support this kind of person? Their stated motivations are completely at odds with actions, it’s mind boggling.

B’cos deeply held personal prejudices will always come first. When they see Trump, or any other scumbag politician, has the same prejudices as them, they see a kindred spirit.
I wonder how his wife feels about all of this. I get that money takes care of things like that but since he's a broke bitch, how long until she leaves his ass?

Honestly surprised his lawyers didn't shut down most of the parts of her testimony that are getting the most media coverage. Stuff like him saying she reminded him of his daughter, him not using a condom, etc are embarrassing for Trump and hopefully cost him votes but are mostly not related to what he was actually charged with.
Anyone who is still a trump supporter is either too deluded to believe anything negative about him, or just doesn't give a shit.
It's a trial, not an election. Whether or not you support him and whether or not he's guilty of falsifying business records are two different questions.
I'm referring to whether or not this will cost him votes.
Sadly I think most trump supporters are in it for the long haul at this point.

I really feel Melania gets a big payout if trump is proven to have cheated on her in court. He only seems concerned in denying the affair, not the actual matter at hand. Maybe this breaks her prenup, and she can divorce him now.
By the way, of you ever get offered a deal where you get a fortune if trump is proven to do something stupid in court, you sign that thing.

Exactly. My concern is the lurid and sexual details will only serve to undermine the seriousness of the law he broke. As long as these gross but legal details are making headlines, the less coverage his actual crime gets, which his team will gladly accept.
Trump was married twice before and has long been rumored to have had many affairs. Melania knew what she was getting into and didn't care because of money. And as dumb as Trump is, I'm sure even he is smart enough to realize that his prenup should protect his ability to keep on with his sexual misconduct.
I don't think Melania cares. If she did. she would have sued him long ago. She got what she wanted out of Trump in other ways and is still getting it.
