It's so weird that this is the statement that makes some of his supporters question his sanity or ability to form and communicate coherent thoughts...I would say there's a trail of breadcrumbs of much more damning statements going back as far as you're willing to look, but it's more like a trail of roach-infested bakeries.

My opinion on Elvis has changed after watching the recent movie. I feel like he was psychologically abused and pushed into a life of drugs and alcohol.

I look forward to the day when I'm old and for some fucked up reason the names ”Elvis” and "Trump" come up and people ask me who they were and whether due to dementia or just old age I can smile a fat grin and simply say, "I don't remember."
On the other hand, schoolkids in the future could one day be taught that a former president said he looked like Elvis while he was campaigning. Next to a picture of both him and Elvis. And then they will say, "what the fuck was wrong with people in 2024?!"
