I have to give myself a pep talk most of the time. "You know you'll have a good time. You'll be glad you went."

It's easier now that I'm in a relationship and it's not just me alone for most things.

I invite people over. Then the social cost of cancelling is too high and I can cope with anxiety by preparing for the party.

This is what I do. And I'm not an introvert. I spent too much time on people's homes when I was a kid because I didn't have a lot growing up. Now, since I got something I always invite people over for dinner or for some LAN party session.
