I don't know if I've ever loathed a game character as much as Algus when he screams "Animals have no God!", referring to the poor lower classes as animals. The newer translation is objectively better but that line hit hard
What's the newer translation?
War of the Lions has an olde English style translation that changes the cadence a lot. It's objectively better because while the original TL was fun it also had some parts that literally didn't make sense.
This game is the GOAT. Jealous of everyone that gets to experience it for the first time.
I can't wait to finally play this
Play the original, the new translation does not have the same weight
Facts
“Final Fantasy Tactics was released in that climate as a work depicting class struggle, with the main theme of ‘the haves’ and ‘the have-nots’. Unfortunately, 30 years have passed since then and the environment surrounding the world has not changed.”
VII and FFT both shaped a young me. It wasn't until I became a leftist that I could really appreciate it's themes of class war as a adult on a second playthrough.
... Only a second playthrough?
Literally shaming someone for being a "the have-nots [time]". Better play again to refine your understanding of the message.
