If he were a Republican who abused his office for personal gain, Democrats would be going after him while Republicans defended him. But since he's a Democrat, Republicans are going after him while... Democrats are going after him.
See how that works, Republicans? When someone genuinely seems to be corrupt, don't circle the wagons and defend the indefensible.
He is only baaaarely a Democrat, though. Didn't he change his registration for the election?
