What you are seeing is the internet in its true form. Trekkies and computer nerds are the only native fauna of the internet, everyone else is an invasive species.

@DumbAceDragon you merely adopted the internet. I was born in it. Molded by it. When I saw broadband I was already a woman.

I was chatting on local BBS with a 9600baud Hayes external that was a huge metal box which would get hot to the touch.

I wouldn't call @[email protected]/@[email protected] star trek only. He's here to provide us with all the memes.

I've never seen Star Trek content. I do see a lot of leftus stuff and I don't mean to be pejorative, just sharing what mostly appears to me.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 year ago

No, you'll still have all the memes about how it's only Linux and Star Trek content left.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I filter out everything else

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I see almost only lefust content. And its not always connected to startrek or Linux.

I wish, too many neoliberals stinking up the place and trying to tip their landlords these days.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I have only seen memes about these people which made fun of it.

I see plenty of Linux content as well, but I've barely seen anything about Star Trek.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago

Filtered the that entire startrek instance but still quite a bit of content

What about the obsessive hatred of automobiles?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

cities were built around them, they just get really inefficient as a city gets bigger. People are mad since most cities are just too far gone now.

The fuckcars people are not bad because of traffic.

dude that is the most toxic and blame-throwing community I have ever seen online, honestly edit: thanks for supporting my claim

It cost an extra $3,000 a month to live in public transit/walking distance of my office. Fuck me for owning a car, right?

Those are the whole reasons most of us are here.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Linux and Star Trek are the reason most people use Lemmy? Guess I didn't get that memo.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Sir, our sensors are showing this to be the absence of everything. It is a void without matter or energy of any kind.
