Is this big enough to split the rhizomes if I want to give it a new home? It's about 1.5"/4cm above the top of the soil.

Yep, same. Good chance it'll survive as is but no need to rush.

We let ours get pretty dense in the pot before we split them. As for whether or not this is big enough to viably split, I suspect it will be fine. Snake plants are pretty hardy.
