Happy Winter Solstice

It contains Bailey's with a hint of coffee.

I think the hot drink might be getting a bit too hot in that second photo.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

That hot drink was just to put a lining on my stomach before I hit it hard.

Just went to a local shopping centre and got my fix of food court Chinese food, love it. Also unashamedly purchased a pair of Kmart trackies for each family member. They are unfortunately all the same shade of darkish grey ($8). Hey, the men's cheap trackies are cheaper, thicker and warmer, and come in more serviceable colours than the ones in the women's section, so 4 pairs of men's trackies in varying sizes it was. I am a bogan.

Reminds me I could use some more trackies, hope they’re not too tight, I like them a little bit baggy.

Not to mention proper pockets. I see nothing wrong with any of this and consider it a good day

Better to be warm and comfy!! What's your go to plate? I'm a sucker for a sweet n sour pork, but my local place does a bangin' beef satay.

My mum sent me this photo, and I didn't even notice the bird at first. There was more going on in the background, but I cropped it to reduce the likelihood of being doxxed.

Reminds me of this

Was going to go to the gym but will rest tonight instead. I think I'd be pushing too hard if I went tonight.

So:

Feed the cats

Make dinner

Setup drumkit and have a play

Maybe some video games

Cuddle with Fluffball.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Sounds like a plan.

Hope you have fun with your Drum kit!

I went to the local repair cafe and spoke to them about running an information session on switching old computers to linux.

They're open to it, so I'll have to put some things together and figure out a date.

I figure I could always make a big deal about linux gaming and turning your old hardware into a steam deck, then targeting it at teenagers in the area if I want to boost numbers

That's a really great idea man!

Is anyone else gonna have a bonfire tonight and howl at the moon?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

Fire in the loungeroom, safely contained in a flued cast iron box? Why yes, i am.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

I bonfired early, on Thursday and Friday. Tonight might be indoors with the central heating on. And a small howl or two.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

If by bonfire you mean heater then yes!

That'll do. I don't make the rules. πŸ‘

Your boys are looking good today. Really going hard at it.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

I know. So silly of me since I knew better :(

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

I have returned from the market.

The very handsome dude who sells me salami (this is not a euphemism, stop laughing) has grown a beard, and is even more absurdly attractive now

Aldi $4, 400g lasagna review:

spoilerYeah pretty good.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

The bigger 8 dollar ones are pretty good too!

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

I read this as $4,400 lasagne. Which would be some lasagne.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

yup, aldi dinners are ok πŸ‘

yay, I have finished the painting. Now just to do to two more drawer liners, buff the paint with some brown paper to get the sheen patterns off and then tidy up. 😊

fuck, that was not an easy job, I first spent a week cleaning 70 years of yellow gunk from smoke from all the furniture, sanded everything, then had to do four coats to cover the white enamel. I also repainted the brass drawer handles in a silver gold paint . It might take a month for all the paint to fully cure.

I have wrecked two pairs of jeans with paint and my new slippers, luckily they were old jeans and cheap slips.

My new desk is huge but then I remembered I got it to do art work on , for big pieces of paper, so that's cool. Think I'll repolish it before I use it. 😊
