~~Any lemmy instance should work, I personally do not have an ml account, but I do not see why it would not work.~~

I forgot, ml blocked some crawlers and app devs have to let the admins of ml know what agent their app uses so it can be white listed.

I think this likely explains it all, damn... Need to pray the dev comes out of hibernation soon, as I'm used to Arctic. 🤞🥴🤞
