Chilling in Pender Park before my haircut. This is a pretty cute little park, great trees, gorgeous in the autumn sun.
Help me decide, should I get f&c nearby the salon after my haircut or should I go buy some salmon to pan fry with some air fryer chips? I'm a bit loathe to cook and clean but it might also be good for me nervous system to do something with my hands and I can probably get more salmon for less $ if I do it myself. Otoh, I'm not that tight for cash atm and I kind of like the dopamine hit of the f&c. I have plenty of time to bulk cook this weekend.
The answer is always f&c. Edited to add: I am so very lucky to live coastal and have a variety of fantastic greasy shops to chose from so that sways my decision!
F & Cs
Got home from work yesterday and had an absolute meltdown on boyo, so took it as a sign to have today off and apply for some more jobs. Beach walk, yummy brunch, some applications done, following along with Erin Patterson's trial.
Also bought Expedition 33 last night!
Hugs ๐ซ. It happens. I cracked it over grated cheese last week. The message got through but not my greatest moment.
right, that's it. today's over. Everyone go home.
The bed and bedside tables have now been picked up. The dining chairs and Miss Meow's new cat trees are in the van as well, I'm going to pack as much other stuff as I can around all that to take up tomorrow.
The mop to go with the mop bucket arrived today, so I'm all set to give the floors a quick once over to remove whatever dust has settled. The carpets can get a quick vacuum on a later visit.
good luck with rest of the move
I have a few sets of spare towels. 1 set are old and used for drying the dog and the odd water spill etc. 1 set are ornamental, new, never been used but are still functional. 1 set are new Sheridan towels that may have come from a fancy hotel.
Which ones do I keep for emergencies and/or drying the dog and which ones do I donate?
I would keep them all for the future, either to personally use, for household use or for the dog.
The thing is they take up a whole self in the linen press and the newer ones never get used and they're white which I hate.
That's not including the 2 regular towels the man and I have each and the 5 the kid has and the 2 for drying hands.
There's too many towels in this house for 3 people and a little dog!
if you hate white, then dispose of them! You don't have to put up with that shit in your own house!
Animal shelters will take ANY towel in any condition. Sound like the 'good' towels could go to Vinnies or similar. The Sheridan ex hotel towels should maybe be kept as back up dog towels.
This is pretty much what I have decided.
then give all the spares away
space in your house is a valuable thing too ๐
cat video, this is so adorable ( yes, I know it's Indian for adorable ) ๐ป https://www.reddit.com/r/Eyebleach/comments/1kh588r/look_at_those_slow_blinks_they_love_each_other_so/
Work laptop is out of my hands as I don't have the bitlocker key. Boss said to just leave the unfinished work with everyone else and to go focus on uni... Thanks, universe! One less excuse to procrastinate. I'm still feeling off kilter and lethargic as fuck. Haircut later this arvo. I should do some uni work today before tomorrow's meeting but we'll see... I kinda need to get out of this funk and recharge properly. Looks like a good day for a walk and a nap under a tree
