You're seriously expecting someone with magic isn't wearing a hat that large just to flex that they can casually bypass any issues with it using magic?
Magic the weight of it down, the center of gravity down closer to the normal center of gravity for your head, and magic it in place.
Extra credit for dynamically changing the size so it doesn't hit ceilings or obstacles.
