But Putin is already a dictator...

If there's another 9/11 style event, people of both political stripes will be begging Trump to assume true dictatorial power.

So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous jet engines?

A historian of fascism would hopefully be aware of that being standard for fascism. It escalates as it progresses.

A credible historian should also understand that reformism does not work, and we have a choice between socialism or barbarism.

The second amendment has entered the conversation…

No, it hasn't.

She added: “And the other thing that’s interesting, I was thinking about this the other day, is that eventually regimes make science and medicine bow to their ideology. So the communists would, you know, use psychiatrists to say that dissidents or journalists who didn’t agree with the regime had to go to psychiatric hospitals.

this is extremely dangerous (because what do you do when a state-owned "psychiatrist" accuses you of being "mentally unstable"? say "no, i'm not"?), especially now with facial recognition technology--remember they were able to find most of the j6 insurrectionists, aided by social media posts. and that was before a blatantly fascist dictator owned the NSA, FBI, etc

if you're going to go above the radar, then you need to be careful. mask up, leave your phone at home, cover tattoos--all of it. assume any place you're protesting is covered by 24/7 surveillance cams. i live in a tiny town and even here, there really isn't a spot downtown that isn't covered by at least 2 cameras, let alone the spots where people protest

Everyone must understand and appreciate that this isn’t just an issue with Trump. When Democrats were in charge, the FDA approved drugs they knew didn’t work, and let the ceo of Delta set Covid isolation policies.

We must remove profit incentives from healthcare and any other science.

First avoid becoming a dictatorship before complaining about petty shit

Its like get your priorities straight, with a dictatorship this doesn't matter anymore

EDIT: okay I agree its not petty shit, but avoiding becoming a dictatorship is way more important to do first.

If you can’t see the connection, you need to go back to school. For the love of god, please read a book.

This resembles more after there’s been a coup.

Even when talking about american bullshit, they need to bring Russia to the table. Putin is disgusting, however you have plenty of examples around the West to use without drawing in Russia nor China
