Possession is 9/10ths of the law.
I don't know if this is the case in Louisiana, but voluntarily confiscated property may be taken under a reliquishmentl/surrender contract which provides a receipt of transfer; which means it is property given to the police as a gift(no compensation in exchange). Usually that sort of thing is done with illegal property that is possed by, but not owned by, the person caught with it, like a drug trafficker working for someone else.
Uh doesn’t the weed need to be cooked for it to work as an edible?
Some of the THCa naturally decarbs as the herb dries. Depends on conditions.
Facts. the first time I tried marijuana, I ate the flower instead of attempting to roll something. Still got high.
Ah, so THAT'S why all the weed was gone from the evidence room! Of course.
