Can someone quickly explain to me why he is doing this?

Isn't he black? Isn't that against Hitlers fascism anyway?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Is he fkn restarted? Even those "so called master race" people would have punched him in the face if they still existed

The Black Nazi logic is that

1: they're primarily anti-semitic 2: the Nazis didn't oppress black people in Germany.

#2 is actually true, because there weren't really any black people in Germany. The long term goals are something they don't pay attention to, as stupid people.

legit conversation on my friend discord last night

  • hey did everyone see Kanye was on twitch?
  • no, I didnt know that, why'd they let him go on?
  • oh it wasnt very long, he was only on there for like 10 minutes before he got banned for yelling heil hitler
  • oh...

Kanye skipped the lolcow phase and went straight to the horrorcow one.

Superbowl ad of the guy lying in a dentist chair high on nitrious going "Umm, umm, umm" for 40 seconds. the kind of shit thats so stupid you cant look away from.

He should come to Germany and do that here and then we can hear from him from prison for the next 12 months and he will be banned from performing here for the next decade.

But JD Vance says you dont have freedom of speech.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Compared to the US, they don't. 1A protections are extremely broad, to be outside protected speech it practically has to be either CSAM or inciting immediate lawless action.

As in "SLUR should be hanged from trees" is protected under 1A, "Guys, grab that SLUR over there and string him up" is not. CSAM is primarily illegal because production, distribution and even possession further harms the victim of the CSA performed to create it.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yup, between that and the lack of gun control is no wonder the US is the way it is. On paper, that level of freedom is lovely. In practice it just lets the worst people be violent assholes with zero consequences.

I'll take the German/Canadian/NZ approach every day!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

We got freedom of speech. But when it harms people, it isn't just speech anymore. Cause violence against innocents and you pay the consequences.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

I get it.

but the "Free Speech Absolutism" that Vance is talking about, demands the right to call you a N****R without consequences. Or say that you need to be killed because X Y Z.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 3 weeks ago

The freedom is there, the consequences too!

Wait are we turning twitch into club penguin now?

Last month, West made a video featuring him posing in a diamond-encrusted swastika necklace next to infamous white supremacist Nick Fuentes.

I have a good friend who is a jeweler, and loves getting an expensive custom job, which this had to be. You dont just pick up a "diamond-encrusted swastika" at Jared. I wondered what my buddy would do if he was offered such a commission.

And I realized that he'd take it, not because his politics (or musical taste) are in alignment, but I know that he would say "If he wants to pay me a ridiculous amount of money to help him make an idiot of himself in front of the entire world, who am I to deny him?"

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The correct response to such a request is "No Nazi bullshit"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I agree, I'd refuse it, but I can't judge someone who is self-employed, and needs to keep the money rolling in. Traditionally, artists have had to work for wealthy patrons they havent cared for, but that's the flip side of being an artist, and why the dream is always artistic independence.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Man, the difference is that the swastika sends a message of death. I know, I know, anything could be a message of death.

But some stupid fuck sees that stupid idiot wearing a fucking diamond encrusted swastika necklace, then he will be emboldened next time to harm some innocent person. All because, yes, because of someone willing to take the money. It's blood money.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

That's a very valid perspective, i agree.

But it seems like if someone is going to be inspired by a diamond-encrusted swatika to commit hate crimes, they were already pretty far down that path anyway. I don't think the jeweler who is trying feed his family is at fault.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

"Hey I'm going to kill Jimmy tonight. I'll do it with a knife if I have to, but I'd rather use this gun. It jams, though. Can you fix it for me? I'll give you 10 grand."

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That would be knowingly directly facilitating an actual murder. The decorative swastika is NOT a weapon. That's a big difference from facilitating an idiot who doesn't understand that he is destroying his brand image by advocating for a hate group. The only thing he is murdering is his career.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

That's a strawman. You just changed the subject.

We're talking about the jeweler refusing to make a very real symbol of death. You were trying to justify it, and I said nope, no justification for making something so heinous.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago

Unless that one commission is standing between them and survival then I think we can say they're slightly to blame. They're a part of the problem anyway.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago

He's just following the custom order amirite

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 weeks ago

He would have got away with it if he had a car company

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago

I read the article and I'm having trouble believing this is not the onion.

The detail I enjoyed most about this is that he had fewer than 220 followers at the time of the ban. This suggests that in order for any details on this incident to have got out at all, a decent percentage of his fans in 2025 are actually just journalists waiting for him to do something stupid they can get an article out of.
