WH got louder in their begging yesterday, but Trump has said China will be begging for a deal almost everyday. Bessent even called themselves "stupid for their tariff joke", "unsustainable", "must end". They won't even pick up the phone to cut "the extra stupid joke 125%" off.
Ask yourself why this meeting didn't happen before the tariffs. Good leaders make decisions armed with information first.

Yea I don't get those folks who are always like "He's playing 4D chesssss" no no he's not, there's no master plan or handler or anything.
There's a bunch of people with their own little plans, from P25 christian nationalists to Putler to rich fucks, all trying to get what they want out of him pulling whatever strings they have access to to pull on him.
The end result is...a shit show where (hopefully) nobody gets what they want because the break the system down so hard and fast that the backlash to them will be.... overwhelming
The nice thing about anyone ever bringing up 4D chess is that you know from that point on they have nothing of value to say.
