I've been putting off cleaning my bathroom for way too long now, it's scary in there... 😬

found the real Q-Anon

Oh yeah, a "caffeine pill" eh?

[–] xor@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

new street slang for crystal meth

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

That's just macrodosing Adderall

[–] xor@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 4 weeks ago

quite different, actually… it’s amazing what a slightly different chemical can do pharmacologically…
even an isomer of the same chemical can be completely different… you can buy Levo-methamphetamine at CVS right now as a nasal decongestant… dextro-methamphetamine is what’s illegal….

The neat thing is, if you glue the 12 outermost tips together, you get a nice q-tip stand.

I'm a loser and made my own. I ran out of q-tips, so it's not perfect, but damn close.

Wow.. define loser? That's awesome!

Yeah I read the post and didn’t take the intended lesson. I said “oh! I can make that!”

[–] ztwhixsemhwldvka@lemmy.world 23 points 4 weeks ago

Looks like a winner to me

[–] silverlightBeing@lemmy.ml 17 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

That's impressive. Well done.

Yes, but that top layer isn't square. There's one more row towards the top left. Some Qs need to be removed or added to bring balance to the qube.

Close enough

How many ears³ can that clean?

[–] FiskFisk33@startrek.website 16 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

you know you are not supposed to put them in your ears, right?

[–] frezik@midwest.social 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Inner ear is off limits. Can still be useful for the outer ear. For most people, cleaning the outer ear will let the inner ear take care of itself.

You will compact your earwax and it will get steadily more and more blocked up. Don't ask me how I know this.

[–] frezik@midwest.social 8 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

Outer ear. Blockages aren't an issue for the outer ear.

If it's too deep for your finger, it's too deep for qtips. Don't use qtips.

They also irritate the skin in a way that your finger doesn't.

If you have gunk that's not coming out with your finger, pippette small quantities of olive oil in, leave it there for a bit and tip it back out into some kitchen roll. Repeat once or twice a day for a week or longer if necessary.

MUCH, MUCH easier than that is DON'T compact the ear wax by using qtips in your ear.

You think you're scooping stuff out, and it feels so good, but you're compacting it on the way in and irritating the skin on the twist, promoting more ear wax. You'll think you have some hearing loss from noise, but it'll be the compacted ear wax because you didn't listen to the advice everyone gave you to not use qtips. Use your finger, but don't use qtips.

Well, usually

[–] h3mlocke@lemm.ee 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Grammy always said never put anything other than your elbow in your ear...

[–] davidagain@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

My grandpa said the same. A year or two later when he said it again. It was then that I tried it. Gramps!!

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 17 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Ok but how do you even begin assembling this thing?

[–] QualifiedKitten@discuss.online 19 points 4 weeks ago

This post inspired me to make my own. I started by laying 10 q-tips on the table, then another layer of 10 perpendicular, and kept going until I had 10 layers of each. In hind sight, I recommend doing 9x9, because the next step was to poke q-tips through the grid vertically, and that pushed the other layers around and some fell off. Once you have the 9x9x9 cube, you can fill in the edges to get 10x10x10. Note that the final cube will actually be a few short of exactly 10x10x10 due to the way the shapes hold together.
