Same as the first, except this time there is no paywall - the link is to a freely accessible advocate.com page.

It is censored with no explanation.

This one is finally given a removal reason: a rule that does not exist in the sidebar, and seems to have nothing to do with the post ("Your post has been removed for being too specific to a company or single product.")

But in a censored comment, the OP of the post says they received a different removal reason:

Holy shit I'm banned for 30 days for "conspiracy spreading". This sub is cooked

This time, other people notice the censorship and the nonsensical nature of the official removal reason.

Since this removal, there has been no further post of this news in r/privacy. Sources tell me the moderators refuse to explain their decision.

Of all subreddits i ever visited, that one was THE WORST. There are certain words like graphene that will get your comment auto removed and maybe even banned. Rather than allow privacy minded people to discuss things, the mod(s) enforce their own flavor of privacy on everyone and will not let anything be posted that goes against what they deem acceptable

Basically the head dev if graphene was a dick, but tbh so is Torvalds and I'm not about to stop using linux. That dev stepped down as head anyway iirc, still works on the project (which is good, cause he's good) but just isn't the face anymore (which is good, cause he is a dick lmao.)

Ithink 2-3 years there was a huge privacy push and topic got hot, then weird info suppression started.

Since origin. Be design. They were never special against the any of the other info vampires. The only difference between them and FBInc, TwiXXXer, and the other Big Fangs was that they didn't originally ask you for nearly as much info. That was just a chantry of pretending not to collect what it knew was already being gathered anyway.

If you’re referring to using a services that overwrites your comment history, yes, I used one and checked to see if they were actually overwritten.

You're talking about what reddit shows. I'm talking about it's record database. History never gets deleted.

Let's just say reddit actually does delete its own database (even though we know better). The NSA doesn't delete *it's copy.

Doesn't delete it from Reddit's servers unfortunately. All you've done is prevented people who might have been interested in your answers to not discover them anymore. And maybe the odd occasional bot that slips through the cracks
