Summary

Trump intensified his criticism of judges, targeting U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Judge James Boasberg, accusing them of undermining his authority by blocking mass deportation plans.

Trump labeled judges opposing his actions as "Radical Left" and called for Boasberg’s impeachment after Boasberg blocked deportations under the 1798 Enemy Aliens Act.

Chief Justice Roberts countered, stating impeachment is not a remedy for judicial disagreements.

Trump’s rhetoric has raised concerns about increasing threats against judges amid ongoing legal disputes over his policies.

He is an enemy of all

An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile — hoping it will eat him last.

Chomp-chomp, motherfucker.

Don't let his noise confuse you.

Roberts either is on board with this, or Trump is as stupid as he seems.

As is by design over a couple of centuries. Law Enforcement is commonly assumed to be only a power of the Executive, but that is not true. All courts, including the supreme Court have the authority to enforce judgements and use funds allocated to the court to do it.

The question is usually do the courts have jurisdiction to do whatever. The whole point of the Chief Justice is that his jurisdiction is not one of the district courts, but the federal district itself.

This is a constitutional crisis in the aspect that Trump is trying to build support for ending the division of powers. Of course, anyone who knows history will see where this is going, but Roberts knows he is complicit in the outcome, regardless of what happens.

Its power games. Everyone is in a mad grab for power and I don't forsee the supreme court undermining their own authority, even for the presidential pumpkin.

🤣 They already bent the knee to Trump, because they thought since he was their guy they'd be at the table.

Of course Trump gives no shits about them and is now steamrolling them.

Fuck Roberts and the illegitimate SC

supreme court and congress better act soon while they have any relevance. A resume being the complacent judge or congressman who let the us system of government fall to totalitarianism is not going to go far or live long. None of them will outlive their usefulness which is almost gone.

Trump is exactly stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds him.

Robert’s enjoying the FO phase

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 week ago

Not until he actually faces some consequences. Otherwise it's just hot air from the king of all gas bags.

Take the mic away from this lunatic. Never let trump near a mic again. Just shut the fuck up! Enough of this nonsense. Aren't his adult diapers the whole time full?

Sorry, it overcame me for a second there

Was nice knowing ya. You'll post from El Salvador or Guantanamo? /s

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

I hope that this would put a few conservative judges into self-preservation and create solidarity with their colleagues, and get them to vote with the liberals on the important issues.

You created this monster Roberts. I look forward to your impeachment. Or, more likely, to your acquiescence...

He'll fold like a beach chair. Rather than be humiliated by having their rulings ignored, they'll just agree with the Republicans on everything.

SCOTUS keeps leopards as pets.

“These Judges want to assume the Powers of the Presidency, without having to attain 80 Million Votes. They want all of the advantages with none of the risks. Again, a President has to be allowed to act quickly and decisively about such matters as returning murderers, drug lords, rapists, and other such type criminals back to their Homeland, or to other locations that will allow our Country to be SAFE,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Problem is your only "evidence" that the people you are deporting are "murderers, drug lords, rapists, and other such type criminals" is tattoos and a lack of a criminal record.

Judges need to fucking do something already. This is beyond out of control.

Judges are political appointees so they deliver a political ruling. Everyone is acting shocked. They've been doing this shit for decades. The only difference is that they've turned it up a couple of notches.

Didn't Justice Samuel Alito fly an upside-down flag outside their home in 2021? He blamed his wife, but it was a clear MAGA bat signal, if there ever was one.

You don't have to have political parties pick your preferred brand of justice. Shocking as that might sound, most other western democracies don't do it.

You cannot undermine the authority of an authoritarian leader. There is only one branch in Trump’s government.
