Always reminds me of an old Brit sketch show where the landlord gets his nose done off the rent rises.
All I want them to do is knock off the "are you still watching press continue" button. They have 2-5 minute shows for kids and that crap pauses and asks every 10 minutes. Kids have to get someone to unpause it.
My kid's first words were "hey Google, resume"
Is this r/singlesentencehorror?
A joke. Both they and I appreciate the voice controls though. It gives them independence. It'll be a shame if ever I'm a forced to hoist the black.
I suppose the flip side of that is that you can sleep through all three LOTR extended editions without being asked if you're still watching.
Y'all still pay for media?lol π¦π΄ββ οΈ
Yarr, aye, me wife enjoys the convenience and 'tis challenging to teach an old dog new tricks.
Back when I used netflix, I never used the skip intro feature. I'm one of those people where I almost never skip the intro.
There are some intros where I'll let it play, but most are boring and skippable imo.
If my dogs laying with me when I watch any star trek, I'll let the intro play so I can sing a song about her to the tune.
Aww. β€οΈ
The NetFlix autoplay is weirdly inconsistent. It never happens on my Roku Ultra, sometimes happens on my Samsung Tizen TV, and nearly always happens in a browser.
I have almost never wanted to skip an intro. If it's a good show, they'll have a good intro.
I'm generally binge watching. Idc how good an intro is, after the first episode I'm skipping past it.
Well, apparently One Piece has like 1k episodes, so I do imagine you would eventually want to save yourself a couple of hours.
That's fucking bonkers. Are these 20-30 minute episodes?
Yep. They've been pumping out an episode almost every single week for the last 25 years. You know they are running a recap + long intro to save every second of animation they can.
Arrrr, yea we cool π΄ββ οΈ
Use plex lol
then they skip the outro before the episode finishes. feels good to sail the seven seas again
And then blast you with previews after a heartbreaking tragedy
Plex has that though
Why do we put up with subpar streaming services
They'll copy it eventually. Similarly to how youtube gets all it's features from porn sites, streaming services get all their features from piracy.
Wait Plex has that? I've been wanting that forever, where is that setting at?
And is there a setting to decrease the autoplay next episode countdown? It only starts after all the credits have played and still is 10 secs, way too long.
Higher quality video comes chaptered most of the time, I use that to skip the intro fairly reliably. No need for plex pass!
I have the Skip intro button, that works great. But the question was about automatically skipping the intro, so not having to press the button.

Not all players have it yet and you need Plex Pass but most support it now
If you use an unsupported player and donβt mind a more technical setup you can use
Aaah thanks! So the player I use doesn't support it and I don't have Plex pass, so I'm shit out of luck.
Kinda like "Plex has that though" ASTERISK - Not always and only if you pay.
You need a plex pass
