I was hoping that would be a joke about Long Island but I guess I do know nothing about New York.
Forgot the guys name for a second and thought you were referencing Adam Sandler’s character in that movie from a few years back (also named Zohran??? or something like that) which iirc takes place in New York. Very confusing but I found it funny nonetheless.
I never even saw the Sandler film(I think the character is named Zohan), but I keep thinking about that too

Yeah, I thought that the only part of the US that got that hot is the southwestern desert part. No idea New York could reach that sort of temperature.
there's nowhere in the US that never gets very hot in the summer, it's just a question of how long that hot period lasts and if it sustains >100 F

I tried to go hiking in this yesterday just to sorta stress test myself. Don't do that lmfao, so dumb barely made it back on my own two feet
yeah I was out in similar (higher heat index but lower temp) weather and I thought I was doing good, taking it slow, covering my face from the sun, drinking some water and gatorade
But after I got back inside I felt really faint for a few mins.
2 years ago I did basically what you did, but on a bike. brand new bike, had to take it for a ride, almost couldn't get up the stairs to the door when I got back.

Incorrect use of verifiable technical terms really grinds my gears! A true wet bulb temperature above 98F would kill everyone outside an air-conditioned space within an hour.
I think "wet bulb" describes how the temperature is measured, not a specific temperature or humidity.

At 100% relative humidity, the wet-bulb temperature is equal to the air temperature (dry-bulb temperature); at lower humidity the wet-bulb temperature is lower than dry-bulb temperature because of evaporative cooling.
Yes - wet bulb temperature is a measurement; but when people say 'wet bulb temperature' they are referring to when it is 100% relative humidity and your body's thermoregulation shits the bed because your sweat can't evaporate because the air is already full of water & you die a painful heat stroke death.
A 'feels like' temperature of 106 is hot and definitely excessive heat which should be avoided as much as possible (especially if you're part of a vulnerable population, like the elderly, disabled, and young children) - but it is not a wet-bulb temperature because the air is not saturated with water. You can still cool down with evaporation & your sweat on a 106 degree day in 45% humidity. That's like a wet bulb temperature of 80F.
FWIW the temps shown in the OP are not measured wet bulb temps and are instead the heat index (i.e. 'feels like). The wet bulb globe temp is like 80-85F like I said. You can get a good estimate of the actual wet bulb temp based on dew point & air temp using this calculator: https://www.weather.gov/epz/wxcalc_dewpoint (or like the basic 1/3 rule where you take Air Temp - Dew Point, divide that by 3, and subtract the result from the Air Temp.)
