I know someone that buys a swasticar is still poor compared to the centibillionaires, but I can't help but think that if you can afford to burn more than 100k on a luxury vehicle, you're not exactly "with" the working class.

I draw a distinction between "rich" working professionals and such that can afford a 85K car, and giga rich.

Perhaps I diverge with Lemmy on this, but its OK to get rich. Being Elon Musk rich is not okay.

I bought a Tesla (not a cybertruck, gross) awhile back when fElon was in his "crazy but not obviously supporting Trump or a Nazi" phase. Now we're leaving the US because of his and Trump's bullshit, but we still need a car in the meantime. Moving is going to be so fucking expensive that we can't justify selling it, buying another car, then selling that car, so I'm just driving it in shame and dreading being harassed over it.

Just commented somewhere else about this. I’m driving a loaner Tesla right now and already got yelled at for it, at a supercharger, one day in.

I’d really like to not have a target on my back for the next week or so just because of the car I was provided with.

Totally fine with protesting, or keeping it at Tesla dealerships though. Make them know how you feel, but don’t vandalize someone else’s shit. You don’t know what the driver’s situation is or if it will even have the intended effect.

I was originally going to get something that wasn’t a Tesla, but didn’t make it out of the lot due to a problem with the tire. I asked for something else but the Tesla was what they had for me.

Also I fail to see how getting a loaner Tesla that has already been purchased makes Elon money.

I get the point you’re trying to make but once again, you don’t know other people’s situation.

Also FYI these swasticars have cameras all over them. Keep in mind before you decide to vandalize one.
