RULES (updated 01/22/25)
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling. To be concise, disrespect is defined by escalation.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible. You won't be punished for trying.
- Avoid controversial topics (politics or societal debates come to mind, though we are not saying not to talk about anything that resembles these). There's a guide in the protocol book offered as a mod model that can be used for that; it's vague until you realize it was made for things like the rule in question. At least four purple answers must apply to a "controversial" message for it to be allowed.
- Keep it clean and SFW: No illegal content or anything gross and inappropriate. A rule of thumb is if a recording of a conversation put on another platform would get someone a COPPA violation response, that exact exchange should be avoided when possible.
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc. The chart redirected to above applies to spam material as well, which is one of the reasons its wording is vague, as it applies to a few things. Again, a "spammy" message must be applicable to four purple answers before it's allowed.
- Respect privacy as well as truth: Don’t ask for or share any personal information or slander anyone. A rule of thumb is if something is enough info to go by that it "would be a copyright violation if the info was art" as another group put it, or that it alone can be used to narrow someone down to 150 physical humans (Dunbar's Number) or less, it's considered an excess breach of privacy. Slander is defined by intentional utilitarian misguidance at the expense (positive or negative) of a sentient entity. This often links back to or mixes with rule one, which implies, for example, that even something that is true can still amount to what slander is trying to achieve, and that will be looked down upon.

Hanging out at the house working on some projects. Then I am taking my partner out to dinner and a performance of Mean Girls the musical.
I've written some music to go with one of my microscope videos. I'll be looking over it to make sure it feels good enough, then posting it.
Then I'm going to do some online training for work. I wasted a lot of time on Friday just goofing off and I need to have my training done on time.
paperwork and cleaning up email with video streams in the background this moring. going to call a friend late afternoon or towards evening and will be relaxing at that point on.
I’ll be hopefully having a relaxing day drinking some variations of black tea with some creamy oat milk and looking for screen protectors made of glass for my little computer

I just had lunch, it's 13:18 here. I'm planning to bake some empanadas for the night.
I'm MOVING. I hate moving typically, but this is a fresh start for me and it feels so good. It's like taking the first step into the sun after a long cold winter. Proud of me and my journey to self respect.
Nice work! Remember, if you feel like you're running out of steam while doing the hard work of moving, it's okay to pause and take rest! Moments of rest are productive, contrary to much popular belief.
Gonna spend some time in the kitchen today. Tomorrow I'm making a homemade version of Flying Saucer's Bratzels for dinner, so today I'll be making the pretzel dough and freezing it so I can bake them tomorrow. I also have 4 bananas going brown so those need to become banana bread. Lastly, I've been saying I'll make tiramisu for two weeks, so I think it's probably time I get it made.
Other than that, I will probably play with my dog and take a nap. It's a cold and cloudy Saturday here so we're gonna enjoy the cozy time.
I'm hopefully gonna pick up my new bag and perfume from the post office in a few hours, and later tonight going to get together with some friends for board game club (although I think we're playing Heroes of might and magic 3 tonight)
Work on the chicken coop, work on the truck, and then see about hanging a solar Meshtastic node that I recently finished building.
Pop a low dose gummy, get into the creative spirit, and experiment a shit ton with electronic music and textured synths/processed samples.
Taking my car into the dealership, but I have to drive an hour. And then going to have Korean BBQ with my wife.
I'm sick, called off work, I'll blow my nose, try reading, have a cup of tea, take a nap, blow my nose some more, eat a can of chicken noodle soup, and yeah thats probably it really.

Just downloaded cyberpunk 2077 for the first time now that it's finally kinda finished. Have no idea what to expect. Hoping it's a good day.
Going to home depot to help my kid do the free activity there.
Annual town meeting today. It starts at 8:30 am and ends when the warrant articles have all been discussed and voted on. Hopefully it will go smoothly - last year it didn’t end until 6:00 pm, and a resident yelled at the school board chair so much that she quit on the spot!
I hunt perky 'morning people'.
Going to hopefully buy a new suit, and maybe a sports coat.
I ended up buying a charcoal suit, a navy suit, and a sports coat I can dress up or down.
Going for a walk in the country and a few drinks to relax
Lunch, plan child party, study/work, dinner, drink.
