La croix contains some chemical that gives me an instant migraine. I drink the Kirkland sparkling water, for whatever reason it doesnβt do the same.
Sparkling water gang is superior to soda cucks

If I ever have to unload one of those fucking trucks again I'm going to commit a terrorist attack.
I don't feel as strongly about la croix, but if I have a choice I'm getting polar water instead. If you're looking for flavored water, it's the best imho.
Polar Vanilla is the best bubbly water I've found but I can't get it anymore!
I've never heard of or seen that before. Thank you for passing along your white whale lol. Now I need it too. Tbh, all their flavors are pretty good if you haven't tried the others, I'd suggest giving them a shot. My local grocery store (it's very local so not naming it so I don't dox myself) has a very good alternative store brand. I like berry flavors, and their in house brand is just as good as polar if not better. Worth trying your local store brand just in case you get lucky and find a new favorite!
No son of mine is going to drink "La Croix!"
We drink Waterloo in this house
Hail Satan, my favorite pops
Bonus religious connotation
It's not an issue though since it's fr*nch.
Fun fact: Vampires can say God in fr*nch without issues, because it's such a godless language
Thank you Satan, La Croix are amazing
La Croix seems to be the best of the available off-the-shelf sparkling waters brands, at least where I live. Liquid Death, Bubbly, Aha, Spindrift, and Waterloo just don't seem as good imo.
Though Topo Chico is also bomb π
Where I live, for unflavored, it's Polar > La Croix >>>>> anything else.
I personally prefer the Kirkland signature brand to La Croix. But that just be me.
Liquid Death is trash. It tastes like the can. I like Bubly and the Target brand though. Bubly orange cream is bomb.
Maybe literally. I think their soda has the most PFAS of all of them. Coca-cola!
I love sparkling water, and bonus that the office stocks them in the fridge. Biggest complaint is that they donβt have just plain, no flavor La Croix or lime either.
Right? What options do we have that aren't alcoholic or sickeningly sweet?
Kombucha.
I recently found a very mildly sweetened tea and I've been in love. Tall can and only 7 grams of sugar. I can drink them all day and I don't feel like I'm going to enter into a diabetic coma like I do after one sip of Arizona tea.
Problem is they aren't cheap and they only give you free shipping on the first batch... Not sure I am willing to spend the money on getting them consistently which sucks. I need to find somewhere local and stock up.
Mind sharing what kind it is? I generally drink hot tea, but my family likes cold tea so I like to keep some on hand. Would be nice to be able to also drink it myself, but it's just so sugary (and I'm from the south, so I know my sweet teas) it's hard to feel refreshed.
I have only tried their blood orange tea (and I love it so much), but they have a small amount of caffeine (like 40mg) so be aware of that if you're caffeine sensitive.
Everyone I have let try the tea has asked to have a can or two so I've burned through my initial supply a little faster than I was hoping.
I have been searching for a mildly sweetened tea for most of my life and I am so happy to have something between unsweetened tea and liquid diabetes tea (I love the south but that stuff barely counts as tea come on y'all).
Wow, you weren't kidding. $4 a can is a bit rich for my blood, but I will take your word that they're good cuz I donβt know how else they can stay in business like that. I buy tea for my family by the gallon and it's less than $4 vs an equivalent $32 worth of cans if I did the math right. It seems like they're only available offline at Nordstrom. Hope you're able to find them locally.
Yeah the cost is definitely too high, but around where I live it's not that much worse than other tea of equal quality.
Honestly at this point I'm tempted to start my own drinks brand that is literally just Arizona iced tea with like 10% of the sugar content.
Plus, they are amazing as mixers, so you can always make them alcoholic
I agree.. I award you +3 points
Context? Does it taste bad or?
It tastes like licking a crt screen that is showing the scrambled image of a grapefruit.
So, it's great when the office stocks it for free.
No. Some people just canβt handle subtlety.
I'm guessing they just don't care for the cool, refreshing taste of sparkling water
No, I just prefer to taste a flavor rather than just reading it on the label π€£
If you donβt drink sugary drinks on the regular, they have plenty of flavor
They aren't actually flavored at all, they're just scented. If you plug your nose you can't taste them
Plug your nose and most things taste bland lol, and Iβm pretty sure they have flavor to them. Regardless, what difference would it make if the effect is the same?
I was born without a sense of smell, bubly and Lacroix taste like plain seltzer and that just doesn't appeal to me.
If you have a weak sense of smell then you can't taste them at all. I can taste most things fine though (la croix excluded) without them tasting bland. Smell definitely adds to flavoring but it's not like it's the only thing responsible for how you taste food/drinks.
It taste like drinking carbonated water while someone whispers the flavor three rooms over π
This is the best description I've read lol.
To me I thought the same for a long time, until I realized things like soda had completely nuked my taste buds. After cutting out soda and other insanely high in sugar things a lot more started tasting better, and la croix now has a ton of flavor.
I'm sure that's probably true for many people, but also some people just don't vibe with seltzers. I quit drinking everything but water and black coffee a few years back due to kidney stones and I still can't stand lightly flavored seltzers.
It's aftertaste as a flavor.
Ahhh I see π€£
