It's a sign of frustration that the government and the broader public largely choose to ignore these issues. I'm not saying it's smart or effective, but peaceful, calm protest hasn't done anything in the past decades.

Were the George Floyd riots smart? Probably not. But when you push people this far that's what happens. Our governments are explicitly condoning and in many cases directly participating in literal genocide.
