Cool table. I've been daydreaming about building a dining/game table for years and never thought to put the trays on a hinge.

Been daydreaming about the Wyrmwood gaming tables. These fucking things look crazy.

Wow, very cool stuff!

I'll probably never be able to justify the cost but at the very least, those are some inspirational design choices.. why pigeonhole myself building the stuff INTO the table when I can just give it a mounting system...

I had also only considered the removable top in 1 or 2 pieces but it looks fine the way they have it which would be easier AND cheaper

I hadn't even noticed that - it's a great idea. Tough to make all the joinery line up along the length of the hinged flap!

Probably why I never thought of it....definitely beyond my skill range lol

Every table I've thought to build either had flat trays that pull out or trays that are covered by the removable tabletop

I play on a friend's purchased table. It has some little pull out writing shelves and cupholders that we never use because they aren't quite In the right spot. We pretty much just play on the sunken felt surface. It works fine.

What I'd really like is for the trays to be at the same height as the table (so you're not looking so far down) with some sort of flip up wall. But I guess the same could be accomplished with folded cardboard
