I didn't read this but I feel that first line I accidentally read really hard. Get fucked, overconfident douchebag.
Glad we understand each other ๐
The Less You Knowโข
There's no reason to continue speaking. I know both that you are wrong, and that no matter what, you will ALWAYS invent some rationale to defend your tribe. What's the point of exchanging words and snipes?
And I know when someone points out your mistake, you're too goddamned stupid to either shut the goddamned fuck up or admit you were wrong. Which you were. Unequivocally. Then you thought you'd jack yourself off by changing the subject claiming you're so smart because you know adjacent facts to ops point. You might be the dumbest motherfucker on the platform. And I've blocked probably over 30 people I've thought that about.
Lmao "unequivocally," after doing absolutely nothing to establish how I'm wrong besides saying this frivolous nonsense about how the other poster "meant something else."
The only things that are "unequivocally wrong" are the initial post, the comment I replied to, and of course, yourself.
If I'm "the dumbest motherfucker on the platform," then what does it mean that I called out the errors in the OP that over 1300 people missed, and only 39 other people were able to identify?
Let me guess, OP "meant something else" too. Because you identify them as part of your tribe too, you'll look past all the inaccuracies in the post, you'll look past the fact that the person who wrote the tweet is a crypto grifter who has used the clout gained from bashing Trump on Twitter to promote crypto in association with far right groups, you'll look past everything, just so long as they show deference to the same gods and icons and cultural touchstones. Because fuck critical thinking, fuck independent thought, fuck reason or evidence, the important this is demonstrating loyalty.
This is the exact mentality that allows bullshit fake news stories to dominate right-wing spaces. The next time you wonder how they can believe what they do, how they don't see all the evidence to the contrary, just look in the mirror at how you respond to someone correcting objectively false garbage that supports your bias and preconceptions.
Tldr
Seriously my dude. No point in arguing with this person, it'll only wear you down.
I'm not even joking or exaggerating - look at their beautiful lemmy rep sheet, full of bans for the most braindead stuff - such as blatant trolling, genocide denial, spamming and misinformation - and starting not long after account creation. Truly a pitiful state of existence, and that's coming from me, a neurodivergent.
They're here only to vent rage on others for whatever straws they can grasp and spread around their own personal misery, nothing else. They get their dopamine fix from this.
Anyways, cheers and stay well!
I'm very proud of that rep sheet, it's full some of my greatest hits, tyvm.
There might be one or two comments that were deserved, but the vast majority of the time, it's because I committed such crimes as, "asking for evidence instead of accepting claims blindly" or "winning an argument against a mod."
Unfortunately, this community generally follows a very low level of discourse, which is how things like OP are met with 1300 upvotes, and correcting people for getting things wrong is met with, "Ok? So what?" instead of, "Oh, my bad, thank you." Things like that do tend to make me lose a bit of respect for people.
You did that one already.
It's always too long for you to read, because you don't have the capacity to understand anything that doesn't fit on bumper sticker.
