Jaume Plensa i Suñé (born 23 August 1955) is a Spanish visual artist, sculptor, designer and engraver. He has also created opera sets, video projections and acoustic installations.

ugly isn't near the top of the list of things I think about when looking at that statue, but I will say that similar sculptures and paintings in Middle Eastern language are far more pleasing to look at because Western alphabets are so blocky and rigid.

whereas i can look at paintings of Arabic letters all day:
