Did you read the specific example of the couple who wanted to go to this clinic? Desperately want a baby, ready to be parents, but the fetus' brain wasn't developing properly and would result in a child who would experience excruciating pain and die soon (if there wasn't a potentially dangerous miscarriage to boot)?
Why do I have the right to empty a magazine into someone trying to take my, or someone else's organs without consent, but somehow a fetus doing it without consent is special? How come I can refuse to donate a kidney or something to my already born children even if they'd die without it, and that's fine too, but I can't just refuse a uterus for them before they even cognitively exist?
I'm genuinely curious, when in development do you think consciousness begins?
For you, does this have anything to do with human life being special or sacred, or having a soul?
I'm not looking to mock or provoke, I'm just curious because I've seen people place importance on the life or dna of the fetus being human or importance on when the brain forms, or when the heart starts beating. People have a wide variety of opinions on both when life starts and on when personhood starts, and the criteria they use for each. I think discussing these things objectively could help reduce internet arguments on the topic, but only if people have good faith discussion. I realize that is tough to do these days.
Personally my own line of thought is I wasn't a person until at a minimum the first bit of brain was there, and I want more research on consciousness to figure out how much it took for me to have a concept of "me", and I figure before that I was no more a person than my mom's liver is. But I recognize not everyone is going to agree with that. But if you think there is a person from the moment a unique dna sequence is formed, it is easy to see how you can have your perspectives on the subject of abortion. I may not agree, but I understand better.
No, you don’t. You don’t value a woman’s life as much as a baby’s when she needs a late term abortion due to medical issues.
Which means you think it’s wrong. The difference between you and them is you eliminate the choice a woman has.
People don’t feed their babies into grinders but you know that.
Whether you truly believe the things you say or are simply a troll is moot. Only one side of the abortion argument rests in removing bodily autonomy from women and controlling them.
No, we're not. I don't know what kind of nonsense this is supposed to be.
Yeah? Anything to support that? More importantly, if a woman gets pregnant and you are neither the woman in question, nor the doctor who is providing her care then what business is it of yours at all? Explain why you (or any other person outside of the woman and her care provider) should have any say in whether a woman decides to terminate a pregnancy or not. You can object to it, you can dislike it, but you absolutely do not have the right to remove her right to bodily autonomy and choice.
I don't care about politics, you do. You brought it up. You can vote for whomever you like, I'm just sick of people like you who seem to believe you have some moral authority to control how a woman chooses to manage her own body because of how you feel about it.
Fuck you.
But in reality, bad.
Do you take pride in being the most abhorrent, least likeable version of yourself? Does it bring you joy when people are miserable because of you?
Because that's not normal, and it shouldn't. Seek help.
Lmao nice bait. You're literally in the meme. 10-week old fetuses aren't babies, dipshit.
Bro got fucking Mogged in the comments for being a dipshit and deleted all his comments lmfao.
I may be somewhat insufferable, but you're out here denying women the right to manage their own bodies in favor of a clump of cells that can't think.
