Ah but the US rebellion against the UK wasn't anti-colonialism, it was just changing who would benefit more from the colonialism.
It was repositioning the metropole into a former colony, but still keeping the power among colonizers.
It's the first time in a while I considered, even if only for a few milliseconds, that anti-colonialism is bad. So I have to acknowledge that the commenter could at least surprise me
i've seen "US independence was actually bad" but not expanded to all anticolonialism
