Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

Thank you and happy chatting!

you made me start thinking about this. it seems so easy for brain injuries to turn people into chuds. often by cutting off empathy for start

but just cranking up empathy won't guaruntee someone embrace leftist thought. autistic people in my life are all leftists/left leaning (they all have various degrees of hyper-empathy)

leftist thought seems so much more a "teachable" thing then just a gut thing. sure it helps to have a scientific mind combined with empathy and humanistic thought but that can also go straight to liberalism.

No I want a Fred Flintstone sweet spot on the skull where if you smack someone with the appropriate tool and the appropriate force they become hardline Third World Maoists

Literally woke phrenology here we go.

I think what Des was saying is that you have to smack them with a cognitohazard to indoctrinate them into Maoism. If you just try to do it with blunt force, you'll probably overshoot and get a patsoc or Trot
