As someone who looks illegal, I’m glad that I left on my own terms. I can’t imagine the horror this man and many like him are going through.

On one hand you're 100% right, but you cannot choose how others see you
It's illegal to be brown in the US it seems sadly.
For now. Eventually it won't be about color or religion or citizenship, it will be about political beliefs and ideas, and EVERYBODY will be invited to play.
It will never be like that. For the game to continue, they will always need an enemy.

This is true. Fascism is a death cult. They must have enemies, they must kill, and they must fight until they themselves die. Even if they defeat their enemy, they segment off another portion of the in-group so they can have a new "other."
