it could be bad contact in the cpu pins too. take it out and give it a good clean.
Hey. I actually took a aircan and hosed it down and got another slot to recognize another stick! I have 16 now!!!
I still have 2x8gb sticks that doesn't recognize, but at least the 16gb is much better.
there you go! its the most common issue when it comes to 'dead' slots. 16gb is def gonna make it fly higher.
some isopropyl alcohol and an used toothbrush on the slots can do wonders too.
Maybe I'll give that a try
