I always order my steak with sides at a club. Usually they can't key an incomplete meal, so it's easier. Though I don't make a habit of eating out. Home is cheaper and better
Also I'm never the only one leaving the sides. Maybe the only one leaving them fully intact
One of the people who's pretty much always in the group when we have dinner at a club is never sure which sauce to have with her steak, since they serve the sauce in a jug on the side so with mine she gets a choice
How does your club cook the meat? Do they use fat, butter, oil? Do you notice a difference depending on the preparation methods?
I expect they use oil, though I can't taste it. It definitely isn't cooked in burnt oil
I can't taste it, though also they cook it much more than I do at home. All the fat is cooked, where mine is only cooked about 3mm deep, the meat is hot through where mine at home is cold in the centre – I only cook it for 1 - 2 minutes each side which doesn't warm very deep on a ~9cm thick steak
