I am generally anti-slop but I think this is actually something we should be talking about. There are a lot of libs in the US who are angry, scared, and looking for answers. More than I’ve seen in maybe 15 years. Because the Democratic Party and their sycophantic influencers (like Natalie) sure af don’t have any answers for what’s happening all around us right now. Highlighting Natalie’s pettifoggery around a fucking genocide really does give the libs who are open to actual leftist thought something to think about.
100%. People should be thinking of these moments as counter propaganda opportunities, to counter the arguments of libs, analyze their arguments and attitudes, and dislodge them from the Democratic Party.
Like the Kavernacle said in his recent video (which I assume is the reason this reply was made?), the world is moving past these breadtubers to a new generation of leftists that believe change is both possible, and necessary. They no longer make videos just for entertainment purposes or education, but to change the real world we all live in. But it will never be possible unless the world moves past the philosophy of the liberals that had sway over the culture for so long. Hell, Mamdani is more proof they're losing control.
Remember, changing material conditions doesn't necessitate a move to the left. It doesn't happen automatically. It requires people to have conversations with those they know and don't know on the internet and convince people that socialism is the way, not fascism, to abandon their old heroes and idols and find a new path. We need to be leaders in changing attitudes by explaining why people feel the way they feel.
