edit: seems like some people interpret “full of” as a mathematical majority which, while it may or might not be true instance to instance, isn’t my intent in posting

feel free to swap in “has a lot of” if that’s more familiar language to you :)

~~Not even true lol~~ (You were alive immediately after the civil war wow!) Yeah and sadly slave owners literally received reparations when there should have been Nurembergs.

Thafuq are you on? Their "crimes" were downplayed and hardly anyone was executed for the endless list of subhuman behavior they only too gleefully perpetrated.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Whose crimes were downplayed?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 21 hours ago

Slaveholders’ crimes were downplayed and the history of the Confederacy rewritten to appear noble and unrelated to slavery. Some slaveholders were even compensated financially for the freeing of their slaves, while no freed people were compensated, ever.

Did you skip history class again, son?

No, I wasn't sure if you were distinguishing between Nuremberg or the slave owners. You write "their" but there are two possible groups that could be applied to, and possibly both. Your message changes based on how I read "their", so just seeking clarification on what you're trying to say.

If you follow the original subject of the conversation, you'll see that the Nuremberg mention modifies the other, thus you have your target group. It wasn't History you skipped?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

i guess maybe you were meaning “that’s what we did” as advocating for slaveholder punishment where i interpreted it as actually doing it

[–] [email protected] 1 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

"punishment"? We let them all walk, and today their slobbering progeny claim the South did nothing wrong.

Should've hanged the lot when we had the chance. Nowadays, we can't even roach bomb the sedition out — especially since now they're skittering inside the fucking walls of the Capitol itself. 😶

In turn, I feel that you're shadowboxing in your closet and doing your own commentary. 🤷🏼‍♂️ (I kid, I kiid)
