I always see this precedent argument whenever fascists do something to other fascists, but the US government doesn’t need precedent to act against leftists. There is no point in defending one of the most odious and evil people alive against the machine he helped put into overdrive. They are coming after leftists regardless of whether or not they successfully deport Musk. If they can’t deport him they aren’t going to just throw up their hands and go “welp looks like we can’t go after the left now that the world’s richest fascist bought his way out of trouble”. I guess this sounds harsh but in my view this is just one step removed from liberals who think they can cast spells against the state using legalisms.
