https://www.reuters.com/world/un-experts-demand-accountability-sexual-torture-during-hamas-attacks-2024-01-08/

there are no good guys in this, only innocent civilians and those pushed by injustice to maniacal acts.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Are there ever good guys in war?

It's like being a kid with two parents that didn't plan or want a kid. Life made and wasted to perpetuate meaningless ego-based hell on earth.

Nations crucify honest humble men that respect humanity. Shit... Sales, marketing and business in general practically do the same.

Edit: generalizing war here... Tbh idk too much about the Gaza stuff.

there are no good guys in this

I disagree. For example the hero doctors and nurses from Medecins Sans Frontiers and other NGOs are good guys and they are getting killed alongside the innocent civilians they are trying to help.

What motive would you have that makes you want to post an article rehashing 10/7 propaganda on an article about actual evidence of the IDF torturing Palestinians?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago

Can you help me identify what in this article is propaganda? I wasn't able to find anything that set off alarm bells for me, and Reuters tends to be about as factual as media comes.

Consider how far you have to be to be both sides-ing genocide. Jews rose up against the Nazis multiple times, but in the context of the Holocaust it’s clear that their actions were reasonable and acceptable given they were fighting for their survival against a genocidal regime.

hey, i'm not going to say that a 'by any means necessary' approach is unjustifiable. you can certainly think that, and i would sympathize with you to an extent. however, in this case i don't.

once you're born on that soil, you have as much of a say to it as anyone else born on that soil. you can't help where you're born.

Israel highly encourages immigration of Jews to it from all over the world.

The Palestinian population in Gaza was under economical (siege?*) for years.

Israeli solders would regularly attack and kill Palestinian civilians.

Israel had a pilot-less plane that would fly in Gaza 24/7, which would cause annoying noise - a form of torture used in guantanamo - and when their fuel ran out they would suicide-crash on civilians.

The "Democratic Governemnt" the US/partners gave Palestine is nothing more than a means to control them, and when people in the west bank protested to support Gaza the police force arrested protestors and used violence**, and the Palestinian governemnt claims to have "30,000 soldiers with 30,000 rifles", but they're nowhere to be found when half the country's in ruins, yet they complain that Hamas didn't plan the 7th of October with them, preferring to obtain their rights through begging in the UN***. (not like it ever worked, as they're all Israel fanboys as we've seen these last few months)

I am not done yet with the governemnt, do you know that Abu Mazin (The Palestinian president) had a meeting with Joe Biden during the war (And asked how his day went and wether he slept well BTW), when the US was clearly supplying the weapons that destroyed half of Palestine; Imagine if Zeliniski (Ukraine's president) met Putin and treated him like that during the war? what would your reaction to that be?

Do you think they just took their land and left them to live in peace?

*I think that's the right word.

**Further evidence the government's just a puppet

***To quote the Abu Mazin: "If you had a dog, wouldn't you protect it?"

i completely understand that israel is an unjust state and i'm well aware of how they operate. i condemn them for making palestine into the prison state that it is.

at the same time, i don't really care what happens to groups of abrahamic peoples. as an atheist, i'm indifferent. that's just my honest opinion. i think both groups are part of an old world that will never function correctly.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Israeli authorities have opened an investigation into possible sexual crimes during the most deadly attack on Israel in its history.

This is going to just be more bullshit from the genocider state, in their endless stream of bullshit to distract from their ongoing genocide.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (2 children)

there's video evidence. apparently more than a half hour of it that many journalists couldn't sit through. this is from reuters.

edit: it's ok to take a side and still condemn horrible acts of brutality. my heart is with the palestinian people, but i don't support hamas.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (2 children)

If this evidence existed, your source didn’t think it was an important enough thing to mention.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

There is video evidence, but you can’t see it because it’s too heart-wrenchingly incontrovertible for viewing.

You can link to it... I've seen a ton of war deaths. It's probably a good thing for people to see the hell reality is. Maybe it will put some entitled assholes in their place. I'm so sick of talking politics with naive idiots that never watched an innocent person get murdered for a nation or any other man made entity. We the citizens pay for that. But everyone's too cunty to man up to that fact we pay hit men through taxes. And it is what it is... War is war... I just can't handle these precious naive people that act like they never paid to murder someone. Anyone that's paid tax has paid to murder someone. No one that backs a nation that's been to war is going to heaven.

That’s the bullshit the occupiers spewed three months ago, which no one who’s been paying attention buys anymore. Hasbara is falling apart at the seams.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

then why haven't any of the agencies reporting it made a retraction yet? are you that gullible that you sincerely believe your precious hamas can do no wrong and has been taking the best care of those poor civilians ever since they were captured?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Because they are Western corporate media outlets who are supporting this genocide in conjunction with their governments. They are Manufacturing Consent for genocide.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

lol. like i need to be educated on what manufactured consent is. look kid, you can choose to disbelieve credited media outlets. i just stop giving a shit what you think once you show a disregard for subjective truth.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

look kid

I’m old enough to join AARP.

subjective truth

Perhaps that was just a Freudian slip, or perhaps you’re a member of the reality-based community.

The [G. W. Bush] aide said that [journalists] like me were 'in what we call the reality-based community,' which he defined as people who 'believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.' [...] 'That's not the way the world really works anymore,' he continued. 'We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors...and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do'

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago

derp! that was totally a slip. no, no. please no more subjective truth until it comes down to morality, in which case i'll believe whatever i want. but i do form my opinions based on objective reality.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Yeah like when israel said that hamas was raping people while also under heavy fire from apache helicopters. You belive this if you want to

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

oh my. so eager to rally for your team that you assume anyone else that doesn't agree must side with the enemy. you're blind to the truth, my friend.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago

Lmao, you wouldn't know the truth if it tapped your shoulder and gave you a deep French kiss 😘
