Posts about lack of message amplification on a post that is amplifying the message.
Cool.
Makes sense that a single post on Lemmy is what you'd consider amplification
As opposed to what? A single post on Reddit? Xitter? Blusky? Facebook?
How do you know that the OP, and everyone else on this thread didn't reshare to those places?
What exactly qualifies as amplification to you? How high of a bar do we need to pass to be good enough for you, your Highness.
Until my grandmother knows. Go outside and see what people are saying. Almost all are right wing views spread by engagement online. There's a guy on a bridge I pass everyday who still puts banners on it for NWO and COVID. If something is stupid but it works while something smart isn't working then we should figure out way. Calling everyone dumb isn't working out for leftist like that thought it would.
Your grandma knowing is an outcome. After a long campaign of amplification, that outcome is entirely possible.
I'm just saying... You're shitting on the post for not being amplifying enough to inform your grandma; which is a ridiculous expectation to have.
Amplification is still amplification. Whether it lives up to your impossible standards or not.
