That's not quite their style.

That style is let's do a show about depression in 12-year-olds. Or What if we kill his brother? Then they win awards.

So what emotional trauma has the wall experienced?

Ok, hear me out. A tornado takes out one of the walls, mold is growing another wall and another wall is struggling under the weight of its mortgage. The final wall just wants to bake pies for his family.

Edit: I asked chat gpt to make me a pitch for this movie, here it is:

Title: "Walled In"

Logline: When a tornado strikes, a quirky group of walls must band together to repair their home and overcome personal challenges, discovering the true meaning of family and resilience along the way.

Pitch:

Act 1: Introduction to the Walls In a charming, cozy house nestled in a quiet neighborhood, four walls form the heart of the home. Each wall has its own unique personality and dreams:

  1. Windy – The wall facing the outside world, always yearning for adventure. When a tornado strikes, Windy is left with a gaping hole, feeling incomplete and vulnerable.
  2. Mossy – The damp wall, struggling with a persistent mold problem that’s slowly taking over. Mossy is anxious and insecure about its deteriorating state.
  3. Brick – The sturdy load-bearing wall, who feels the weight of the mortgage and the responsibility to keep the house standing. Brick is overworked and stressed.
  4. Pie – The cheerful kitchen wall, who dreams of nothing more than baking pies and bringing joy to the household. Pie is the heart and soul of the family.

Act 2: Conflict and Challenges With Windy damaged, Mossy deteriorating, and Brick under immense pressure, the stability of the house is threatened. Each wall faces their individual struggles:

  • Windy feels exposed and useless after the tornado, longing to regain its strength and purpose.
  • Mossy’s mold problem worsens, affecting the air quality and making the entire house uncomfortable.
  • Brick is overwhelmed by the mortgage payments, feeling the strain of holding everything together.
  • Pie tries to maintain a sense of normalcy by baking pies, but finds it hard to keep everyone's spirits up.

Act 3: Coming Together Realizing they need to work together to save their home, the walls embark on a journey of self-discovery and teamwork:

  • Windy learns to embrace its vulnerability and finds creative ways to mend the hole, using materials from the garden and help from friendly neighborhood creatures.
  • Mossy confronts the mold problem head-on, discovering the power of natural remedies and teamwork, with Pie’s comforting presence offering support.
  • Brick learns to share the burden, opening up about its struggles and receiving help from the other walls, neighbors, and even the bank [editors note: this made me lol].
  • Pie continues to bake, but now, everyone joins in the process, turning baking into a communal activity that strengthens their bond.

Act 4: Resolution Through their journey, the walls not only repair the physical damage but also strengthen their emotional bonds. Windy’s repaired wall symbolizes resilience, Mossy’s clean surface represents renewal, Brick’s lightened load stands for shared responsibility, and Pie’s joyful baking signifies the importance of family and togetherness.

In the end, the house stands stronger than ever, a testament to the power of unity and love. The walls have learned that despite their differences and individual struggles, they are strongest when they support one another.

Tagline: "When walls come together, they build more than just a home."

Theme: "Walled In" is a heartwarming tale about resilience, teamwork, and the importance of family. It reminds us that even the strongest structures need support, and together, we can overcome any storm.

I’d read that. Too symbolic for a movie but it would work well as a book, maybe throw in some Greek gods that each represents, and all of their inherent drama
