Yeah it took a while to get everyone onboard but signal has been the only messaging app that I use. Now even some of my friends and family use it for chats I’m not part of.
I donate $1/year per person I convinced to use it.
I’d say check it out anyways, if you’re into retro gaming and/or programming and/or hardware. This guy is great. He was re-making portal for N64 and his dev vlog was fantastic. Eventually valve and Nintendo forced him to take it down (mostly Nintendo) so he’s moving on to other things like this.
Sure the thumbnail is obnoxious but if that’s his livelihood and that’s what it takes to get clicks, meh. I’d rather judge the video by its content than the thumbnail.

So my hundreds of hours researching and thousands of dollars of hiring professionals, and the dozens of people in my community with whom I consult is shameful? I’m not raising my kid anything in the way my parents raised me.
I’m just sick of labeling western methods of parenting as bizarre or unnatural. Parenting ideologies are filled with giving a stink eye for doing something that you didn’t do.
Sure, but as a professional (teacher) I’m not willing to put my career on the line by challenging a sensitive parent. A few years ago we were told not to use that word, and when it comes to things like that, I do as I’m told.

A lot of people use “folks” for plural.
I feel like “guys” is fairly un-gendered but people disagree with me. Personally, I haven’t used the word “guys” to refer to anything male in what seems like forever.
“Bud” and “fella” are good singulars.
I remember doing this in macOS, when I got my first SSD. I installed it and kept the os on the SSD and mapped my user directory to my hdd. It made upgrades and re-installs much easier, which was a plus because it was actually a hackintosh.
Ok but how are you supposed to do that when the most powerful and influential people in the world are the very people who rely on that method to maintain their power and influence?
Maybe it’s a Wayland joke?
